
5 DAY ORGANIZE NOW CHALLENGE

DAY 1
TIME MANAGEMENT
- Gather all of your To Do's and tasks and organize them into one container.
- Designate one place for your To-Do list.
- Decide where you are going to plan your time.
- Spend some time imaging the possibilities and decide on 5 priorities to focus on.
- Decide where you will map out your time.
- Plug in everything that is not flexible.
- Create time blocks.
- Plan out your time as far as you can.
- Spend one day per week to planning out the upcoming week.
DAY 2
THE KITCHEN

Grab a laundry basket and remove any miscellaneous items that really belong in another room.

Clear the counters of all appliances that are not used every day.
- Sort through cupboards and drawers in the kitchen and pull out all those items you do not need or use. Toss or donate:
- Dishes that are broken, chipped or don’t match
- Extra silverware, one set of everyday silverware is plenty
- Appliances you have not used in the last year. and place them somewhere else if you can.
- Jars and storage containers that you do not use or do not have a matching lid.
- Extra coffee mugs and cups, only keep your favorites!
- All those plastic shopping bags you have been saving with the exception of 10.
- Organize these items near the stove: pots and pans, cutting boards, pot holders, herbs, and spices.
- Organize these items near the dishwasher and the sink: dishes, silverware, glasses, and serving utensils.
- Organize these items near the refrigerator: plastic wrap, foil, wax paper, plastic bags, and food storage containers.
- Clean out under the sink.
DAY 3
THE BEDROOM

Evaluate the contents of your bedroom. It’s a place for sleeping, relaxing, and dressing and should only house items related to these activities. Remove any items that belong in another room.

Clean out and organize the items under your bed.
- Clear off clutter from your night stand and organize inside.
- Clear the clutter from your dresser.

Empty each dresser drawer one at a time. Sort and toss:
- Socks without a match
- Worn-out underwear and bras
- Clothes that are the wrong size
- Bathing suits you never wear
- Take down curtains or drapes, wash, iron, and put them back up.
DAY 4
THE BATHROOM

Remove everything from the countertop. Clean then replace only necessary items such as soap, toothbrushes, facial tissues, a candle, and toothpaste.

Go through all items and sort them into categories:
- Makeup
- Skincare
- Hair care items
- Deodorants and perfumes
- Medicine
- Nail items
- Purge and Toss:
- All sunscreen more than two years old
- Old, half-full tubes of toothpaste and bottles of shampoo and conditioner that you have stopped using
- Expired medications
- Hair dryers, curling irons, straightening tools, etc. that you never use or are broken
- Dull tweezers
- All makeup more than a year old
- Extra applicators and old makeup spongesLeftover hotel samples you will never use
- Towels that are ripped
- Wash out all cabinet shelves and drawers as you are sorting.
- Evaluate your storage, possibly purchase containers.
DAY 5
ENTRYWAY/MUDROOM
- Gather up everything that does not belong in this area and sort the items by family member.
- Organize this space based on the current season.
- Wash the throw rugs or replace them if they are too far gone.
- Purge shoes and designate storage for everyday shoes.
- Sort the non-clothing items in your hall closet.
